A drug dealer was arrested along with 20,000 pieces of Burmese Yaba worth around Tk 60 lakh in the operation of BGB in Ramu of Cox’s Bazar.
This operation was conducted at Morichya joint check post under Ramu Battalion (30 BGB) on the basis of secret intelligence information on March 4, 2026 at approximately 8:10 PM.
Ramu Battalion (30 BGB) Commander Lt. Col. Kazi Mahtab Uddin Ahmed and under the leadership of Assistant Director Md. Kabir Hossain, patrolling activities were strengthened at the check post. At that time, a suspicious Mahendra car was stopped and searched.
When the driver of the car, Md. Farhad Uddin (32), was questioned initially, he denied having any drugs. Later, the car was thoroughly searched and 20 thousand pieces of Burmese yaba worth about 60 lakh taka were recovered hidden inside the engine cover.
The detained Farhad Uddin (32) is said to be the son of Md. Kamal Uddin of Master Para area of ​​Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.
