
In Cox’s Bazar, the husband was killed by his wife, marital discord or alienation

The police recovered the half-melted body from the rented house in Ramu of Cox’s Bazar. Various questions are coming up after the rescue. Deceased Belal Uddin Jihad Prakash Badal (22) resident of Hajipara area of Rajarkul Union of Ramu Upazila. His wife Ankhi Begum (25) is absconding since the incident. On Wednesday, March 4, the police of Ramu police station recovered the body from a room of a one-storey building in East Merungla area of Kul Union in Fatekhan.
Local residents said that they were suspicious when a strong stench came out in the morning. Later, the locked room was opened and a dead body was found lying on the bed and pillow.
Sheikh Mohammad Farid Ahmed, investigating officer of Ramu police station, said that the evidence of the scene was that he was initially strangled to death from the location of the body.
The cause of death will be confirmed after receiving the post-mortem report. Apart from this, investigation is going on by determining the time of murder, analysis of mobile phone call records, collection of surrounding footage and possible involvement of third parties.
Talking to sources related to the investigation and locals, it is known that Jihad’s wife Ankhi Begum rented the house a few months ago. While taking the rent, he revealed that his parents had gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. Her husband Jihad works outside. However, when asked whether verification of national identity card or permanent address was done, nothing was revealed.
Neighbors also claimed that his house was frequented by various persons. Akhi Begum used to introduce them as uncles and sometimes cousins. There are also allegations that he used multiple names. The police said that they are verifying this information.
Some neighboring women said that there is a discussion that Akhi Begum had a close relationship with a person named Hamidul Haque. However, the police did not officially say anything about it. Investigating officials said possible communication networks will be analyzed by analyzing mobile phone call records and social media activities of the deceased and absconding wife.The victim’s father, Abul Kasem, alleged that his son was killed in a planned manner. He also said,It is not a family quarrel, who or who is behind the murder. His wife threatened to kill my son a few days ago. He demanded a thorough investigation of the incident and maximum punishment for the culprits.
