United States Awami League, Awami family, all affiliated organizations and various political, social, cultural, professionals, poets, journalists, columnists, researchers and other organizations celebrated the 55th anniversary of the great independence of the United States last Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 6:30 pm at the Jewis Center in Bengali-dominated Jackson Heights, New York. Freedom fighter Shaukat Akbar Ritchie, Heroic freedom fighter Farooq Hossain, Heroic freedom fighter Khurshid Anwar Bablu, Heroic freedom fighter Ismail Khan Ansari, Heroic freedom fighter Helal Majid, Heroic freedom fighter and poet Avinash Acharya, Son of freedom fighter martyr family and YouTube channel host, Celina Afrin Rita, Awami League leader Aktar Hossain, president of Sheikh Hasina Mantra and Awami League leader Jalal Uddin Jalil, General Secretary of Sheikh Hasina Mantra and Awami League leader Kaykobad Khan, Awami League leader and journalist Palash Nandi, Central International Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Awami Volunteer League Shakhawat Biswas, former student leader and journalist of Rajshahi University Mojahid Ansari, poet and teacher Hasan Al Abdullah recited poetry.
