Last Tuesday, April 7: Former Speaker of the National Parliament. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury was arrested from the house of Dhaka’s Dhanmondi by law enforcement forces. Khabar Ibn News.
According to police sources, Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) arrested him from his home late on Monday (April 6) night, around 4:30 am.
But so far, nothing has been officially announced about the case or the charges against which he has been arrested. Law and order forces informed that the matter is under investigation and details will be released later.
It should be noted that Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury has served as the first woman Speaker of the National Parliament of Bangladesh and has been playing an important role in the country’s politics for a long time.
