During the inspection, the officials gave necessary instructions to the concerned regarding the progress of canal digging, quality of work and completion of work within the stipulated time.
Supervising Engineer Shahneyaz Talukdar said,
Once the canal is completed, the water flow will be normalized, the productivity of agricultural land will increase and waterlogging will be reduced to a large extent during the monsoon season.
Hannan Pradhan, Executive Engineer of Water Development Board, said that this is an important project. Through quick implementation, it will be possible to alleviate the long-term suffering of the local people. The local residents said that every year during the monsoon season, they suffer greatly due to flooding. They are hopeful that this problem will be permanently solved if the canal excavation work is completed soon.
If this initiative taken as a continuation of development is implemented, the water management of the area will change, agricultural production will increase and relief will return to the lives of common people.
