68th Charter Anniversary Celebration of Lions Club of Chittagong

Lions Club of Chittagong has been making a unique contribution to the development of Lionism in Chittagong for the last 68 years. Starting from one club, Lionism has now spread to hundreds of clubs in Chittagong. This continuity will hold future leadership. The district governor Lion Mosleh Uddin Ahmed Apu expressed this opinion in a colorful ceremony on the occasion of the 68th charter anniversary of the Lions Club of Chittagong. On the night of 5th May (Tuesday), former district governor Lion Kohinur Kamal, 1st vice district governor Lion Md. Kamruzzaman Liton and 2nd Vice District Governor Lion Md. Abu Bakr Siddiqui.
Former district governor and Ekushe medalist journalist, Dainik Azadi editor Lion MA Malek, former district governor Lion Kabir Uddin Bhuya, Ekushe medalist Lion Rafiq Ahmed and CLF chairman Lion Nashir Uddin Chowdhury also spoke on the occasion.
68th Charter Night Chairman Lion M Sohail Khan delivered the welcome address and Club President Lion Rebecca Nasreen presided over the function.
In the speech of the special guest, Lion Kohinoor Kamal said, the tradition of this club is extraordinary, which is our duty to take forward. Lion Md. Kamruzzaman Liton said that it is the responsibility of the current leadership to carry forward the dreams of the former. Lion Md. Abu Bakr Siddiqui said, there is no personal matter in Lionism, it is a place of honor and service.
Daily Azadi editor MA Malek said, standing next to helpless people is the real humanity. It is our duty to work for the less fortunate people of the society.
In the event, former Governor Lion Aslam Chowdhury, elected member from Sitakunda Constituency and former Governor Nazmul Haque Chowdhury, Dr. Sri Prakash Biswas, M Manzoor Alam and Lion Kamrun Malek were present.
The speakers called for the victory of humanity, a world free from sectarianism and terrorism and the establishment of humane values. They said that Chittagong, surrounded by sea and mountains, is a wonderful natural paradise, where the late Lion MR Siddiqui started the Lions activities in Bangladesh on April 2, 1958.The show was hosted by Lion Tapan Kanti Dutta and Lion Ayesha Haque Shimu.
