Exchange meeting with journalists on the occasion of public hearing of ACC in Gaibandha

An exchange meeting was held with local media persons on the occasion of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) public hearing in Gaibandha. Today (May 6) at around 11:30 a.m. in the conference room of the District Commissioner's office, this exchange meeting was held in the organization of Rangpur district office comprising anti-corruption commission and with the cooperation of Gaibandha district administration and anti-corruption committee.
Under the chairmanship of Additional District Commissioner (General) Yadav Sarkar, Deputy Director of Local Division (DDLG) Mushfiqur Rahman, Deputy Director of Rangpur District Office comprising Anti-Corruption Commission Md Shawon Mia, President of Gaibandha District Anti-Corruption Committee M Abdus Salam and more than half a hundred media workers in print and electronic media attended the exchange meeting.
In the hour-long exchange meeting, the ACC informed that a public hearing on anti-corruption will be held at Gaibandha district indoor stadium on May 11. He also said that temporary complaint boxes have been set up in 3 places including 1 in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office, 1 in front of the city's public library and 1 in front of the office of Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).
Apart from this, leaflets are being distributed among the general public, miking is being done. Based on the complaint of the victim, the corrupt officials will be brought under the law and action will be taken. All should work to ensure that victims can bring their grievances to public hearings.
On the other hand, from the side of media workers,Welcoming this initiative of the ACC, complaints of corruption in various government departments of the district were verbally informed. Media workers expect that as a result of these activities, corruption will not be eradicated completely but will come to a more tolerable level.
