49 BGB seized illegal smuggled goods in a raid at Jessore border.

On Monday (May 25), Jessore Battalion (49 BGB) conducted an anti-smuggling operation in the border area of Benapole BOP and Benapole ICP and seized 18 sarees, 20 different types of chocolates, 04 leaves of medicine, 14 packets of bidis and 847 Indian cosmetics items.

According to BGB, the value of the seized goods is 3,94,500/- (Three Lakh Ninety Four Thousand Five Hundred) Taka.

In this regard, Jessore Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Golam Mohammad Saiful Alam Khan, PSC said that for a long time intelligence activities and raids have been continued in the border area as per the special plan of BGB to arrest drug and smuggled goods. In continuation of this, Jessore Battalion is able to seize narcotics and various types of smuggled goods by conducting regular raids in the border areas under its responsibility. Such offensive activities of BGB will always continue on the border.‎
