49 In BGB operation Iskaf Siraf and illegal goods were arrested-1
49 BGB seized narcotics and illegal smuggled goods along with 1 accused in a raid at Jessore border.
On Thursday (May 28) Jessore Battalion (49 BGB) conducted an anti-smuggling operation in the border areas of Masila, Benapole BOP and Benapole ICP and recovered 25 bottles of Indian ESCUF SYRUP (intoxicating), 45 bottles of WINCEREX COUGH SYRUP, 01 mobile (button), 1323 medicines, 48 food items, 668 different types of chocolates, 10 packets of leaves. Bidi, 0.5 kg raisins and 74 cosmetics items were seized. The value of seized goods is Rs.3,74,700/- (three lakhs seventy four thousand seven hundred).
According to BGB, the arrested accused is Ibrahim Mandal (40), son of deceased Syed Ali Mandal of Gadadarpur village of Chougacha police station of Jessore district.
The arrested accused has been handed over to Chougacha police station by filing a case.
In this regard, Jessore Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Golam Mohammad Saiful Alam Khan, PSC said that for a long time intelligence activities and raids have been continued in the border area as per the special plan of BGB to arrest drug and smuggled goods. In continuation of this, Jessore Battalion is able to seize narcotics and various types of smuggled goods by conducting regular raids in the border areas under its responsibility. Such offensive activities of BGB will always continue on the border.
