On the occasion of the 45th death anniversary of BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman (Sajai Mong Marma), Senior Vice President, Kaukhali Upazila BNP paid a deep tribute to his memory.

On the occasion of the 45th death anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman on Saturday (May 30) 26 A.H., in a message (Sajai Mong Marma), he paid tribute to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and said that Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman stood for the country and the people in all national crises.
The historical declaration of great independence was made from the Chittagong Kalurghat radio station and then the people of Bangladesh jumped into the war of independence.
He also said that the national-foreign conspirators could never accept the popularity of the nationalist leader.
These conspirators killed the then President Ziaur Rahman in Chittagong Circuit House on 30 May 1981. In this tragic incident, the nation lost a great patriot. However, no matter how hard the conspirators try, even if a momentary statesman is removed from the world, he is not forgotten, rather he remains an eternal vigil in the hearts of the people of his country.
Note: Ziaur Rahman took office as President on 21 April 1977.
He was in this position till his martyrdom on May 30, 1981. Ziaur Rahman was born on January 19, 1936 in Bogura. At the age of 45, he was shot dead by wayward members of the army during his presidency.
