MP Alhaj Manjurul Islam planted a tree on the martyrdom anniversary of martyred President Ziaur Rahman in Birganj.
Human MP of Dinajpur-1 Birganj-Kaharol constituency Alhaj Nazrul Islam Manju planted a tree on the occasion of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of martyr President Ziaur Rahman, the promulgator of great freedom, promoter of multi-party democracy and shaper of modern Bangladesh in Birganj of Dinajpur.
He participated as the chief guest in the program organized at Birganj Government College Campus on Saturday, May 30 at 10 am.
The program was inaugurated by planting saplings of various species of trees.
At this time, he said, there is no alternative to planting trees to protect the balance of the environment, combat the adverse effects of climate change and build a green Bangladesh for the next generation.
Paying respect to the memory of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, various public welfare programs including plantation of trees are being conducted across the country under the leadership of his honorable son Hon'ble Prime Minister Public Leader Tariq Rahman.
Also present in the program were district BNP advisor, prominent businessman, prospective upazila chairman candidate Md. Rezwanul Islam Riju, Birganj Municipal BNP President Md. Alhaj. Amirul Bahar is a possible mayoral candidate, municipal BNP general secretary Namirul Islam Chowdhury Sena, upazila BNP joint general secretary Shaukat Julius Jewell is a possible UP chairman candidate, youth party member secretary Tanveer Chowdhury is a possible Moricha UP chairman candidate, Krishak Dal president Fazle Alam Shaheen, Rezaul Karim Moni and student affairs secretary Shahjahan Siraj Shipon are the leaders and activists of BNP organs and affiliated organizations.
At the end of the tree planting program, special prayers and prayers were offered for the souls of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and his late wife, former successful Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and other martyrs.The leaders and activists expressed their strong conviction to work unitedly in the movement for the development and democracy of the country inspired by the ideals of the martyred President Ziaur Rahman and the former successful Prime Minister Late Begum Khaleda Zia and the current Prime Minister Public Leader Tariq Rahman.
