Final of Bagzana Cricket Premier League-26

The finale of Bagzana Cricket Premier League-26 Season-1 was held on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha at the Bagzana Two-way High School ground, the traditional school of the upazila located on the border of Panchbibi, Joypurhat. 16 cricket teams of alumni of this educational institution (1996-2026) participated in the tournament. The tournament was inaugurated on the second day of Eid, but on the third day, the 2024 batch defeated the 2012 batch team and won the tournament. The tournament is played with limited balls of 10 overs.

A cricket tournament organized on the occasion of Eid turns into a reunion fair for former students of Bagzana School. Apart from playing their own batch games and encouraging them, after many days they meet and talk with the younger ones. Everyone is happy to share information with each other about who is where and what is happening now. Many request the organizing committee to take such an initiative every year.

Md. Aminul Islam Mehebul, a talented former student of the institution, was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. He is working as the Director of Public Works Department of the current government. Bagzana Union Parishad Chairman and Union BNP President Md. Nazmul Haque, retired teacher Md. Aofer Hossain, former bank officer were present.
Md. Mohfel Hossain, senior journalist Babu Dulal Adhikari and Ehsanul Haque Babul along with the players of both teams.

Alumni of Bagzana School who participated in the tournament thanked the committee for organizing such a tournament and asked to keep it going.

The organizers said that the premier league has been organized for the first time to increase the sense of brotherhood and sports practice among the former students of Bagzana School. It will be possible to take such an initiative if we get everyone's cooperation.Aktar Hossain Bakul
