A cycle is cutting and leveling one mountain after another without any permission. On Monday afternoon, a similar picture was seen on the ground in Islampur Billachra area of ​​Ward No. 9 of Sublong Union under Barkal Upazila of Rangamati. While no one was found there, a soil-cutting dredger was found lying there.

It has been informed that the said dredger was rented from Karlyachhari by one Azgar Ali Longdur and is being cut and leveled by the son-in-law of Khadem Ali's daughter Rabiul of Islampool.

Even though there is a ban on cutting hills without the permission of the concerned government in the area since the collapse of the hills in the past years, the hills are being cut and leveled openly in Islampur day and night in defiance of this ban.

When asked about the matter, local public representative Jahangir member told the reporter over the phone that they are being leveled for cultivation.

On the other hand, local neighbor Moin Uddin said that they are cutting and leveling the hills without any permission. They have illegally taken possession of my own four-square-meter land. They did not listen to me even when I interrupted them.

On the other hand, local resident Rabiul said on the phone that he had bought the land 17 years ago and I am cutting the land with the permission of local members and leaders. Claiming that these are submerged lands, Rabiul said, basically I am cutting and leveling the soil for cultivation. In response to a question, Rabiul said, I am not cutting the mountain alone! Local resident Fajr Ali,Many people, including Khalil and Habib, directly cut the mountains and made equal land, but I did not cut the mountains alone.
