Inauguration of free dustbin distribution program in Kishoreganj municipality

Kishoreganj Municipality has started free dustbin distribution program to make Kishoreganj a cleaner, healthier, livable and citizen-friendly city.
The initiative taken as a part of environment conservation, public health protection and city beautification was inaugurated on Monday (June 2) at 12 noon.
Kishoreganj District Commissioner Sohana Nasreen inaugurated the free dustbin distribution program at various important places including Kacharibazar, Kalibari Mor, Gaurangabazar, Puranthana, Ekrampur of Kishoreganj municipality.
Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) and Municipal Administrator Jebun Nahar Shammi, Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) were present at this time. Kamrul Hasan Maruf and various municipal officials.
According to municipal sources, the main objective of this program is to prevent littering, maintain cleanliness and increase awareness among citizens about waste management by installing dustbins in various businesses, markets and public areas of the city.As a result of this initiative, the environment of the municipal city will be improved and the participation of the common people in creating a clean city will increase.
