Alhaj Rafiqul Islam Mandal was felicitated as the best meritorious person of the upazila for his special contribution in education and social service.

Organized by Muhammad Khan Foundation and Muhammad Yunus Ali Memorial Foundation, Merit Evaluation Competition and Upazila's Best Talent Reception Ceremony was held last Sunday (31 May 2026) at 10 am.
For his special contribution to education and social service, the distinguished social worker, former president of Magura High School, head teacher of government primary school and chairman of BD Nyala News, Alhaj Rafiqul Islam Mondal, was given a memento. Kurigram Sadar Upazila Academic Education Supervisor Md. Mizanur Rahman, Muhammad Khan Foundation Founder Director Md. Azmir Khan Bullet, Sharifabad Government Primary School Principal Md.
