Indefinite transport strike called in Sylhet

If the accused are not arrested by Saturday (June 6), all types of goods carrying vehicles will be closed indefinitely on the Sylhet-Bholaganj highway from 6 am on Sunday.

Earlier on Thursday at 11 am, Sylhet District Truck-Pickup-Covered Van Workers Union President Abu Sarkar and General Secretary Md gave a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and RAB-9. Masum Ahmad Lashkar.
According to the memorandum, on May 21, a group of terrorist labor leaders in the Khagail area of the upazila, on their way home on a motorcycle, stopped their crusher mill at Dhupagul of the airport police station of the district. Abul Hussain was attacked. Aliur Rahman and Nasir Uddin of Khagail carried out this murder attempt in a planned manner with local weapons and sticks. He was rescued from there and admitted to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in Sylhet in critical condition. He died there on May 27 after being on life support for six days. His funeral and burial were performed on the day of Eid.
The labor leaders alleged that even after this brutal murder, the police could not arrest any accused. On the contrary, it has been alleged that the main accused Nasir Uddin fled to Canada with the help of the OC of Companyganj police station.
Companyganj Police Station OC Sujan Chandra Karmakar said,We (Police) and DB Police are trying our best to arrest the main accused.
