
A discussion meeting and doa mahfil was held at Bhadertek Bazar in Biswambharpur for the well being of Begum Khaleda Zia.
To wish the speedy recovery of BNP chairperson and three-time former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia, Quran recitation and doa mahfil were held at Vadertek Bazar of Salukabad Union of Vishwambharpur Upazila of Sunamganj.
On Friday, a discussion meeting and prayer meeting was held at Vadertek Bazar organized by Ward No. 1 and 2 of Sulqabad Union on Friday.
Under the chairmanship of BNP’s former ward president Abdur Rauf and the second joint convener of Biswambharpur upazila BNP, Md. Abdul Hai, Hafeez Abdus Jabbar recited the Qur’an at the beginning of the discussion meeting and Maulana Sabbir Ahmad led the prayer. Later, Salukabad Union BNP convening committee member Abdul Aziz, Bishwambharpur Upazila Sramik Dal organizing secretary Nabi Hossain, Upazila Jubo Dal member Mohammad Al-Amin, former ward president Abdur Rauf and Sramik Dal member Abdul Latif and many others spoke in the discussion meeting.
Biswambharpur Upazila BNP’s second joint convener Md. Abdul Hai said, our party’s chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Desmata Begum Khaleda earned the reputation of Bangladesh as the first woman Prime Minister of Bangladesh. During the previous autocratic Awami League government, he was imprisoned for no reason and subjected to physical and mental torture, which does not happen in any civilized democratic country. He asked countrymen for prayers for Begum Khaleda Zia’s health. He said that in our Sunamganj-4 (Sadar and Biswambharpur) constituencies, our leader, former general secretary of district BNP, who has become a leader of the people after fighting against fascism for a long time. He expressed thanks and gratitude to the party’s acting chairman Tarek Rahman and the central leaders for naming Nurul Nurul as a proven leader and nominated him as a grain of rice candidate. He appealed to the people of Sadar and Biswambharpur constituencies to make Nurul Islam Nurul the winner. Later, special prayers were offered by all those present for the repose of Deshmata Begum Khaleda Zia. ##
