
Complaint against the neighbor for blocking the road for expatriates

Sadashibpur village of Nawabpur union of Rajbari’s Baliakandi upazila. A neighbor has been accused of blocking the access road to the house of an expatriate named Nashir Sheikh. Many residents including expatriates’ families have suffered due to this. The victim’s family filed a written complaint seeking redressal.
The victim’s family complained that they had been traveling home through that road for a long time. But recently, the owner of the neighboring land blocked the traffic by fencing the road. Fazlu Sheikh. Due to this, the family members have to face extreme problems to enter and leave the house.
According to the source of the victim’s family, the expatriate of Saudi Arabia. In 1994, late Abu Bakkar Sheikh, brother of Nashir Sheikh, deeded 10.25 percent land at 235/236/237 of Sadashibpur Mauza to his neighbor deceased Abu Sattar Sheikh. Since then Nasir Gong was occupying that land. There is a road for their movement over that land.
Recently Chhattar member’s brother Fazlu and Fazlu’s son Sohag Sheikh exerted influence and blocked the road with bamboo and tin fence. Later, there was tension in the area over the matter.
Victim Nashir Sheikh’s wife said, My husband lives abroad. I live in Rajbari to facilitate the education of boys. Sometimes I stay at home. Our big family all have their own houses. We threw soil to build a new house next to Fazlu Sheikh’s house. Suddenly Fazlu Sheikh blocked the road leading from our house.
He also said that after the election, Fazlu Sheikh’s son Sohag Sheikh demanded 5 thousand rupees from me. He says their candidate has become MP so they have to pay for the picnic. If I don’t agree to pay then they threaten not to let me live here. After that the road was blocked. He even threatens to kill my sons when I get home.
Accused in this regard. Fazlu Sheikh claimed,The road site falls within its own land. So that blocked the road. In response to the question why they did not block the road for so many years, he said that now they will build a new house. If you don’t stop now, I won’t get the land back. In response to the question whether your son is demanding money or not, he said, “My son has asked for money from many people to have a picnic.” But it is not subscription.
Baliakandi upazila executive officer Chowdhury Mustafizur Rahman said,I have received a written complaint of blocking the road. In this regard Aceland has been asked to take action subject to investigation.
