CHT Harmony Alliance Convener Engineer Thoiching Mong Chak strongly condemned and protested against the provocative comments of the Raj member of Tripura about the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

I and my organization CHT Sampriti Jot strongly condemn and protest the recent controversial, provocative and grossly disrespectful comments of the Tripura royal family member Kirti Pradyut Devavarman about the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Engineer Thoiching Mong Chak said, his comment is not only a distortion of historical data, but it is a well-planned attempt to destroy peace and order and communal harmony in Chittagong Hill Tracts. Commenting on the internal affairs of Bangladesh as a foreigner is completely against international law and diplomatic etiquette and is an open aggression against a sovereign state.

With the Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Agreement of 1997, we ended a long armed conflict and returned to the path of peace. In the light of this agreement, the process of solving the problem of hilly areas is ongoing. Such unrealistic and divisive statements by the Rajya Sabha member of Tripura are a direct attack on the spirit and spirit of the peace agreement and a subversive act to destabilize the region.

He also said, I strongly demand that Tripura Raj member Kirti Pradyut Devavarman withdraw his false and provocative comments immediately and formally apologize to the people of Bangladesh. At the same time, we call upon the Government of India to restrain its citizens from interfering in the internal affairs of Bangladesh.
Calling upon the people of all walks of life in the hill region not to be misled by such propaganda and live peacefully in harmony with each other.

Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. The future of the region and the rights of its people will not be tolerated by any external power.
