3 people of the same family including mother and son were arrested with heroin and ganja in Bholahat

In a special operation of the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) in Bholahat of Chapainawabganj, 3 persons including mother and son of the same family were arrested along with 1 kg of ganja and 24.5 grams of heroin. Today Tuesday (02 June 2026) from 07:10 am to 08:00 am a special team of Chapainawabganj district office No. 2 Gohalbari Union under Bholahat police station. Conducted this campaign in Suranpur village. In this operation conducted on the basis of secret information, the officers of the Narcotics Control Department arrested the accused from their houses and recovered the said drugs from their custody.

Moses. Babita Khatun (25), Suranpur Village, No. 2 Gohalbari Union, Bholahat. During the raid, a total of 1 (one) kg of ganja and 24.5 (twenty four and five) grams of heroin were recovered from their joint custody.
According to the sources of the Directorate of Narcotics Control, legal action is being taken against the arrested accused under the relevant section of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018. In this incident, Deputy Inspector (SI) Mamunur Rashid of the Directorate of Narcotics Control is completing a regular case filing process at Bholahat Police Station as the plaintiff. According to the district office of the Directorate of Narcotics Control,In the light of the “Zero Tolerance” policy announced by the government to prevent drug abuse and illegal trafficking, such special operations are being conducted regularly across the country and at the district level. With the aim of making the society drug free and to protect the youth, such tough campaign will continue in the future as well.
