Complaint of cutting 50 maunds of boro paddy in the dark of night in Dinajpur’s Birampur, written complaint lodged at police station

In Dinajpur’s Birampur Upazila, there has been a complaint that about 50 maunds of boro paddy were cut and taken away in the dark of night due to a land dispute. Md. Masud Rana, a resident of East Jagannathpur area of ​​Ward No. 3 of Birampur municipality, filed a written complaint at Birampur police station, claiming to be aggrieved in this incident.
According to the source of the complaint, for a long time there was a dispute regarding the ownership of land with Md. Mahmudul Haque, a resident of the area behind the old market temple in Birampur Municipal area and his associates. The complainant claimed that he is the legal owner of the 66th century land of JL No. 82, Khatian No. 209, Dag No. 510 of Charai Vita Mauza and he has all the updated documents of the land. As mentioned in the complaint, the land is far away from the homestead of the complainant and he gave it to local farmer Md. Bulbul Ahmed for cultivation as barga. Boro paddy is cultivated in that land during the current iri season and recently became suitable for paddy cutting.
According to the complaint, in the late night of June 1, the defendant entered the land with a harvester machine and started cutting paddy. Barga farmer Md. Bulbul went to the spot after hearing the sound of the harvester machine late at night and saw some people cutting paddy with the harvester.
According to local sources, the amount of Babu Zira variety of rice in the land was approximately 50 maunds, the current market price of which is about 60 thousand taka. The complainant claimed that these paddies were cut and taken away without his permission. Barga Chashi immediately called the National Emergency Service number 999 about the incident. Later Birampur police went to the spot to observe the situation and verified the truth of the incident, it has been mentioned in the complaint.
Meanwhile, the complainant also claimed that after the incident, the defendant threatened and intimidated him and the Barga farmer and other people who were on his side. According to the complaint,It has also threatened to face heavy losses if protest or legal action is taken. The names of Md Bulbul of Charaivita village and Md Dildar of Mangalpur area have been mentioned as eyewitnesses and witnesses of the incident. It is also alleged that many other locals witnessed the incident and are aware of the matter.
Complainant Md. Masud Rana said, “I am the legal owner of the land. I have all the documents of the land. For a long time, the defendants have been trying to forcibly occupy the land. Finally, the paddy of my land was cut in the dark of the night. I demand a fair investigation and justice from the administration.”
