Allegation of attempted rape of mother of two children in Panchagarh Sadar: Police case

A young man named Amina (40) has been accused of trying to rape a mother of two children in Panchagarh Sadar Upazila.
The incident took place in Raipara village of Satmera Union of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila.

In this regard, Mini Akhtar, the mother of two children, has filed a case against 6 people under the Women and Children Suppression Act at the Panchagarh Sadar Police Station on Monday (June 1).

Accused main accused attempted rape Aminar Rahman (35) father: Azizar Rahman (2) Shariful Hossain (40) father deceased Ainul Haque, (3) Akhimul Haque (25), (4) Anisur Rahman (30) father of both Azizar Rahman, (5) Nasreen Akhtar (37) husband Shariful Hossain, (6) Azizar Rahman (55) father deceased Kherua Sarba Sang Rai Para Satmera Panchagarh

According to the case, since the husband was not at home on Thursday evening on May 28, the neighbor Amina used to visit the house as she was a friend of her husband. He used to give me bad offers. I told this to my husband. When I told the accused to be corrected, the accused Amina continued to follow my movements without any correction. When the matter was conveyed verbally to accused Nos. 2 to 6, they started threatening me in various ways. On Thursday evening the accused Amina entered the house in the absence of my husband. He found the mother of two children alone and grabbed her from behind and took her inside the house. He forced me on the bed by holding my face and tried to remove my clothes and kept screaming to escape from him when he bit my cheek. At that time, the people of the house rushed and tried to rape
Aminar was arrested. Later Aminar’s men came and beat my husband and kicked me hard in the lower abdomen. I started bleeding. The accused grabbed my hair and started beating me. The accused got angry and pulled my clothes and stripped me naked and molested me. And they forcibly took the accused Aminar away. They said if I escalated the issue, they threatened to gang rape me and kill my entire family.Seeing that my physical condition was alarming, the family members immediately admitted me to Panchagarh Modern Hospital for treatment. The accused are threatening to withdraw the case. I can’t stay at home for fear of them.

The family members said that they demanded that the accused be quickly arrested and brought under the law.

In this regard, the investigation officer of the case SI Mohammad Kayoum said,Complainant Mini Akhtar filed a case of attempted rape at Panchagarh Sadar police station on June 1. The matter will be investigated and the accused will be arrested and legal action will be taken, he said.
