Sramik League leader arrested in Rajshahi

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) has arrested a total of 14 persons in the last 24 hours in various areas of the metropolis as part of the special operation ‘Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2’ conducted by joint forces to prevent instability and maintain law and order situation in Rajshahi metropolis.

In a special operation, 1 person was arrested on various serious charges including attacks on anti-discrimination student movement, explosions, terrorist activities and 13 more people were arrested in separate operations of different police stations of RMP and DB police. Among those arrested are 4 accused under warrant, 5 accused in drug case and 4 involved in other crimes.

Accused arrested in Operation ‘Devil Hunt Phase-2’ Md. Arif Sheikh (52) Joint Secretary of Rajshahi Motor Sramik League. He is the son of deceased Naushad Sheikh of Tikapara area of ​​Boalia police station of Rajshahi metropolis.Legal action has been taken against those arrested.
