We remember those martyred workers whose blood has established the right to a fair wage, safe working environment and humane living conditions, including an eight-hour day. Sadly, even today, countless workers in our country are denied fair rights, forced to work in unsafe working conditions and struggle to meet the basic needs of life.

Bangladesh Ganamukti Party believes that ensuring the rights of the working class is essential for establishing a just and egalitarian society. We urge the government to take effective steps to ensure strict implementation of labor laws, a minimum wage of Rs 25,000 for workers, ensuring safety at workplaces and protecting the right of workers to organize.

On this auspicious day, we re-pledge—Bangladesh Ganamukti Party will always continue to struggle for the establishment of fair rights of the working people, elimination of social inequality and building a humane state.Let May Day inspire the establishment of an exploitation-free society.
