
Free distribution of salt in leather preservation at Panchbibi

On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, free salt is distributed to all Qoumi Madrasahs of Panchbibi Upazila of Joypurhat in order to properly preserve the skin of the sacrificial animal. Upazila Executive Officer Kaspia Tasrin inaugurated the salt distribution program at the Upazila Parishad square on Tuesday afternoon. In order to spread the religion of Allah, Islam and the message of the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), free salt is given to preserve the skins of the sacrificial animals of Qaumi, Noorani, Hebaj, Orphanage, Lillah Boarding and Mahila Hebajkhana madrasas of the upazila. Leaflets on skin care guidelines are also provided. Pesh Imam and Khatib Hafez Maulana Md. Borhan Uddin of Upazila Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center along with teachers of various Qoumi Madrasahs were present on the occasion.
The Upazila Nirbahi Officer told the teachers of Qaumi Madrasa, “Leather spoils due to lack of proper preservation of leather national resources. During Eid, Qaumi Madrasas collect sacrificial skins. Therefore, salt is being given free of charge to maintain the quality of leather and prevent rotting.Aktar Hossain Bakul
