Reception to the newly elected leaders of the Society of National Media Commission in Golapganj Chaumuhani, distribution of Eid gifts to the needy

In recognition of human service, objective journalism and social responsibility, newly elected central leaders of the ‘Society of National Media Commission’ were felicitated in Golapganj, Sylhet. At the same time, on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, Eid clothes were distributed among the helpless and distressed people of the area.
The event was organized by Golapganj branch of Society of National Media Commission at Golapganj Bazar Choumuhani at 3 pm on Tuesday (May 26).
Under the chairmanship of the organization’s Sylhet divisional member Kamran Uddin Badal and Zobair Ahmed surgeon and Md. Golam Kibria Chowdhury Shaheen, adviser of Sylhet district BNP and founding president of Golapganj municipality BNP, was present as the chief guest in the event co-hosted by Shihab Uddin.
Newly elected central president of Society of National Media Commission AKM Azizul Haque, general secretary Kalimullah Iqbal and organizing secretary Kamal Khan were felicitated as special guests.
Sylhet district BNP advisor Chalik Ahmad Chowdhury, president of Sylhet to Sheola four lane implementation committee and general secretary of Sylhet district branch of Society of National Media Commission Shahan Uddin Naju also spoke.
The role of journalists in nation building is undeniable
In the speech of the chief guest, Golam Kibria Chowdhury Shaheen said that the role of media is very important in removing injustice and injustice from the society and highlighting the voice of the exploited people. He praised the various humanitarian and social activities of the Society of National Media Commission and assured full cooperation in the progress of the organization.
He also said that he is proud and happy to welcome the central leaders in Golapganj.

In response to the reception, Central President AKM Azizul Haque said, “Journalism is not only limited to reporting the news; it is also our moral responsibility to stand by the helpless, deprived and endangered people of the society. The initiative to distribute clothes among the poor people on the occasion of Eid is undoubtedly commendable.”
