His younger brother handed over the crest to his elder brother

Bagzana Two-way High School is a traditional school within the upazila located on the border of Panchbibi in Joypurhat. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, former students of the institution organized Bagzana School Cricket Premier League-26. The chief guest of the program was Md. Aminul Islam Mehebul, a former meritorious student of this educational institution. He is currently serving as the Director General of the Public Works Department as a high-ranking official of the government. When he came to his village home to spend Eid holidays, the organizing committee made him the chief guest of the event. He along with other guests distributed prizes among the winning and losing players in the closing ceremony of the tournament. Honorable crests were also distributed among local dignitaries on the same stage. At one point, Director General of Public Works Department Aminul Islam handed over the honor crest to his elder brother Md. Babul Hossain as a former football player. The audience-guests applauded as the younger brother handed over the crest to the elder brother as the chief guest of the function.

The scene of exchange of crests between the elder brother of the administration and the football player brother of our area created a great sensation in the area. Locals say this is a proud and exemplary event for Bagjana.

Aminul Islam said, as a student of this school, I am emotional when I come to this event. It is an absolute privilege for me to hand over the crest to the local dignitaries and elder brother. He said that such memories will be remembered forever. He said to the youth that sports can keep the youth away from drugs and build a healthy body.

Ex-footballer Babul Hossain got emotional after receiving the award and said, Chhotabhai is performing important duties of the country. I have received many awards in my life but today is the best moment of my life.

Bagzana Union Parishad Chairman and BNP President Md. Nazmul Haque, retired teacher Aofer Hossain, former bank officer Mohfel Hossain, were special guests on the occasion.Senior journalist Babu Dulal Adhikari and Ehsanul Haque Babul distributed crests among the players of both teams, this official of Bagzana’s Garb Public Works Department.
