Journalist Md. Shah Jahan Bashar’s Mezzo Uncle Subedar (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin is laid to rest with state dignity.

Born in Anandpur Paschim Para, Bakshimul Union, Burichong Upazila, Comilla District, Journalist Md. Shahjahan Bashar’s mezzo uncle, brave freedom fighter Subedar (Retired) Hafiz Uddin is no more. The glory of the nation, a living history of the freedom struggle, when this heroic child breathed his last, a shadow of deep grief descended on the entire area.

The brave freedom fighter Subedar (retd) Hafiz Uddin was one of those who gave up the illusion of life and jumped into arms for the freedom of the country during the fiery days of the liberation war. In his death, not only a family has lost a patriotic warrior witnessing a glorious history.

Janaza namaaz of the deceased was held in front of the Kalikapur land office after Asr today. Local dignitaries, brave freedom fighters, political leaders, representatives of social and religious organizations, relatives and people from all walks of life participated in the funeral.

An emotional atmosphere was created at this time. Fellow freedom fighters broke down in tears, many reminisced and said – he was brave on the battlefield, and a symbol of morality in the society.

At the end of the Janaza, special prayers and prayers are held to ask for the forgiveness of the soul of the deceased. A heartbreaking atmosphere prevailed in the whole area.

After the janaza, Burichong Upazila administration gave a guard of honor to the brave freedom fighter Subedar (retd.) Hafiz Uddin.

At this time, representatives of the administration, fellow freedom fighters and local dignitaries bid him farewell with deep respect. He was bid adieu by saluting his body draped in the national flag.

He was then buried in the family graveyard. Thousands of people participated in the last journey, who bid farewell to this brave child with tears in their eyes.

According to family sources, late Hafiz Uddin was the second of four brothers. Three of them were brave freedom fighters. This family has written a unique and glorious chapter in the history of liberation war.During the liberation war, his role was important in protecting the independence and sovereignty of the country. His bravery, fortitude and patriotism on the battlefield earned him a special place of honor among his fellow soldiers.

According to locals, this family is not just a family, but a living history of freedom spirit.

During his career, the brave freedom fighter Subedar (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin was a shining example of honesty, devotion and humanity. Colleagues and locals remember him as an honest, fearless and responsible man.

As soon as the news of his death spread, a shadow of mourning descended on the entire area including Anandpur West. Leaders of political, social and cultural organizations expressed deep grief and condoled with the bereaved family.

Locals say he was not only a freedom fighter, but also a guardian, guide and symbol of inspiration.

It is prayed to Almighty Allah Ta’ala to grant Jannatul Ferdous to the brave freedom fighter Subedar (retd) Hafiz Uddin and give his bereaved family strength to bear this irreparable loss.

Fellow freedom fighters, local residents and well-wishers have prayed for the forgiveness of his departed soul.
