An ambulance moving on the Dhaka-Tangail highway suddenly caught fire. On receiving information, two units of Kaliakor Fire Service rushed to the spot and are working to control the fire.

On Monday (October 20) around 7:45 PM of GMS Textile Garments of Sutrapur Union of Kaliakair Upazila.The incident happened on the highway ahead.

Eyewitnesses said that the ambulance suddenly caught fire while moving on the busy road in the evening. The driver immediately stopped the car and got down quickly. In no time, the entire ambulance was engulfed in flames. Local people tried to put out the fire, but no one dared to go near the CNG cylinder for fear of exploding.

On receiving information, two units of Kaliakor Fire Service reached the spotWork started to control the fire. However, till the writing of this report (7:30 pm), the fire has not been fully controlled.

Iftekhar Hossain Raihan Chowdhury, Director of Kaliakor Fire Service, said that our two units reached the spot quickly after receiving information about the fire. How the fire started will be known after the investigation.
