The body of the housewife was recovered late at night in Bahubale.

The police recovered the body of a housewife named Najma Begum (42) from Kazihata village of Bahubal upazila of Habiganj.

The body was recovered from under the bamboo tree of Hannan member of Kazihata village of Lamatashi union no.

Locals said that in the middle of the night, the local people found the body of Nazma Begum next to the bamboo treeHe reported to the police. Later, a team of police led by Bahubal Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Aminul Islam went to the spot and recovered the body.

In this incident, the deceased’s brother-in-law Tora Bali and his family members, including the current member of the area, Hannan, are said to be absconding since the incident.

According to the police and local sources, Nazma Begum’s family and neighbors were having a land and family dispute for a long time.Initially, it is believed that the murder may have happened because of that dispute.

After the incident, SI Manjrul Islam made a condition report of the body and sent it to Habiganj Modern District Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Bahubal Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Aminul Islam said,
“On receiving information at night, we reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. Initially, it is believed to be land-related.This murder happened because of the dispute. Investigation is on, the culprits will be brought to justice.”

The incident created a sensation in the area.
