Retail fertilizer sellers in Khagrachari form a human chain demanding the retention of ID card holders

Retail Fertilizer Dealers Association of Bangladesh, Khagrachari Hill District Branch has organized a human chain demanding the retention of ID card holders and issuance of TO license.

The human chain was held in front of Khagrachari Press Club on Tuesday (October 22, 2025) at 11 am.

Speakers in the human chain said that ID card holders have been retail for a long timeVendors have been selling fertilizers to farmers at government fixed prices. But the new policy has taken the initiative to exclude them, which is unreasonable and against the interest of farmers. They said, if this decision is implemented, there will be chaos in the fertilizer supply system and farmers will suffer.

The speakers demanded speedy issuance of TO licenses and retention of ID card holders retailers.

He spoke at the eventThe organization’s district president Kanak Brat Tripura, Md. Siraj, general secretary Dulal Chandra Majumdar, dighinala upazila president Susamy Chakma and other leaders.

At the end of the human chain, a memorandum was presented to the Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture through the Deputy Commissioner on behalf of the organization.
