
PCCP protests in Rangamati demanding justice for three hill youths killed in UPDF firing
Chittagong Hill Tracts Students Parishad (PCCP) held a protest rally in Rangamati demanding justice for the killing of three hill youths who were killed by UPDF firing. The protest was held on the initiative of the district branch of the organization at Banrupa Alif Market square in the city on Wednesday (October 29) at 11 am.

PCNP Rangamati district vice-president Kazi Jalowa, organizing secretary Humayun Kabir, youth council central president Noor Hossain, PCCP district general secretary Md. Alamgir Hossain, Joint General Secretary Riazul Islam, and Government College Branch Leader Nayan Barua.
The speaker complained and said that Khagrachari had instigated the false rape issueAfter destabilizing Guimaras and surrounding areas, armed members of the UPDF opened fire from hills with automatic weapons during clashes in the Ramsu Bazar area on September 28. Three ordinary hill youths — Akhra Marma, Athuipru Marma and Thaiching Marma — were killed on the spot.
The speakers said that there was a big political plan to destabilize the hills around this incident to confuse the army and the government. They complain, the UPDF incites violence by pushing the general population forward as a tactic to heat up the situation to create an opportunity to exert international pressure on the demand for autonomy.
The speakers in the rally demanded the immediate arrest of the armed members of the UPDF involved in the killing of the three youths and bringing them to justice. Besides, to keep Pahari-Bengali harmony intact, everyone is called to beware of misleading propagandainform
Speakers warned that if the demands were not met, the PCCP would gradually announce tougher programs.
