On the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Dal, the rally and colorful rally organized by Rajshahi Mahanagar Youth Dal was full of political enthusiasm, tradition and new commitment of the movement.
On Monday afternoon, more than three hundred leaders and activists started a rally from Rajshahi College Hindu Hostel to the museum.The meeting took place at Buttermore Square. In the presence of thousands of leaders and activists, this event was not only a festival, but a symbolic declaration of struggle.
Md. Tariq Aziz Caesar, member of Rajshahi Boalia Thana (East) Jubo Dal and former vice president of Rajshahi Mahanagar Chhatra Dal led the rally of more than three hundred leaders and activists. Former Vice President of Rajshahi Mahanagar Chhatra Dal, Md. Sakyur Rahman participated in the procession under his leadershipSakil, former joint convener of Boalia East Police Station Md. Sohel Rana Jewel, former joint secretary of Rajshahi Mahanagar Chhatra Dal, Waliur Rahman Ziko and other leaders and activists of Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and Swachha Sevak Dal.
While the procession was encircling the important roads of the city, the entire area became buzzing with slogans like ‘We want democracy’, ‘Oath of youth – the path to freedom’, ‘Let dictatorship die’. Even among the local populationThere was a great show of interest and support in the march.
Mamun or Rashid Mamun, former member secretary of Rajshahi metropolis of BNP, was present as the chief guest in the rally. Also present were former joint convener Waliul Haque Rana, Rajshahi Mahanagar Jubo Dal convener Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, member secretary Rafiqul Islam Ravi, senior joint convener of Jubo Dal Shariful Islam Jani and other top leaders of Jubo Dal.
Leading before the rallyWhile speaking as Md. Tariq Aziz Caesar said, we cannot let the democracy and voting rights, which were acquired in exchange of blood, be lost. We are also ready to donate breast blood if needed. Jubo Dal was founded to stand up against injustice, not bow down. Standing on this Rajshahi soil today, we pledge – no compromise on the issue of democracy, rights and freedom of people.” He also said,”The movement cannot be stopped by the fear of repression. We are not opposing anyone, but we have taken to the streets to return free voting rights to the people of the country. The youth inspired by Shaheed Zia’s ideals know that time does not work; so now is the time to unite.
