Free eye care services, distribution of medicines and spectacles in Khagrachari

A free eye care service, medicine and glasses distribution program was held on Monday (November 3, 2025) morning at Sri Sri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir premises of Khagrachari Sadar Upazila.

Sanatan Samaj Kalyan Parishad, Sadar Upazila Committee organized and in collaboration with Chittagong Lion Eye Hospital, this medical service is provided throughout the day.

As the chief guest in the eventNazmun Ara Sultana, Deputy Director of Local Government of Khagrachhari Municipal Administrator and Deputy Commissioner’s office was present.

Sanatan Samaj Kalyan Parishad Central Committee Convener Eng. Nirmal Das, Member Secretary Ashok Majumder, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple Management Committee Acting President Ashish Bhattacharya and Temple Management Committee General Secretary Nirmal Dev were the special guests.

Sanatan presided over the eventPresident of Sadar Upazila of Samaj Kalyan Parishad Suman Acharya.

Over 300 patients are provided with free eye examination, necessary medicines and spectacles in the medical program.

Besides, blood group and diabetes test services are provided under the management of Khagrachari Specialized Treatment Center (KSTC).

This day-long medical service program with the participation of locals is conducted in a festive atmosphere and is a social welfare initiativeThe attendees thanked the organizers.
