The dead body of an old man was recovered from the leafy forest of Chargarbadi Ferighat of Dumki Upazila.

In Dumki upazila of Patuakhali district, Chargarbadi village of Muradia union, on the south side of ferry ghat from Hogal Pataban. The police recovered the mysterious body of an old man named Zainal Faraji (70). The body was recovered from Hogal Pataban of Beribadh on the south side of Chargarbadi Ferighat of Muradia Union of the upazila on Thursday night (November 27).
Family sourcesSaid, Joynal Faraji left the house in the morning like every day. As he did not come to eat lunch, the family members started searching. At one stage, the locals informed the police when they saw him lying in the forest near his home.
Local UP member Hasan Mahmud Khokon said,
“We went to the spot after receiving information from the locals. The body was lying inside the Hogla leaf forest. After picking it up, there were injury marks on the neck and legs and bruises on various parts of the body.It is visible. It cannot be said for sure how he died. Later, the police recovered the body and took it to the police station.”

Zakir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Dumki police station, said, “The body has been sent to the morgue for post-mortem. Further legal action will be taken after investigation.
