Bangladesh NGO Foundation Day celebrated in Chapainawabganj

‘Bangladesh NGO Foundation’ day was celebrated in Chapainawabganj district. A colorful rally and discussion meeting was organized on December 2 to mark the day. In addition to Chetna Human Development Organization, the negotiator and organizer of the day celebration, three non-governmental organizations, Samata Women Development Organization, Ahmed Nagar Complex (ANC) and Agradoot Bangladesh respectively participated. The colorful rally started from Kanthal Bagicha Gabtala junction in Chapainawabganj district headquarters and circled various roads. At the end of the rally, a discussion meeting was held at Chetna Human Development Organization’s Phalgun. Nawabganj Government Women’s College Principal Professor Dr. Biplab Kumar Majumdar, Adina Fazlul Haque Government College Principal Professor Dr. Syed Md. Mozaharul Islam Taru, Deputy Director of Women Affairs Directorate Sahida Akhtar. The Chief Executive Officer of Chetna Human Development Organization Md. Mamun Ul Alam presided over the event. Md. Zafarul ul Alam, Executive Director of Chetna Human Development Organization, delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Also present were RSDF Executive Director Manjurul Islam Babu, President of Samata Women’s Development Agency Mosa Aksana Khatun. The discussants said that Bangladesh NGO Foundation has been working for two decades since its establishment in 2004 with the vision of involving the underprivileged population in the process of development by connecting them with skills, services and support structures. Bangladesh NGO Foundation is making a significant contribution to socio-economic development and poverty alleviation of the country by making use of their skills by providing special and general grants to partner organizations and undertaking innovative activities. Aiming at sustainable development of poor people, the Bangladesh NGO Foundation has provided grants for the implementation of income-increasing programs among the beneficiaries, such as cow rearing, cow fattening, distribution of goats and sheep, distribution of vans, distribution of sewing machines,Training in making paps etc. is provided. Through this, various poor families have had a positive impact on family social and economic development. Apart from this, in order to improve the quality of life in the village, the installation of sanitary semi-paved latrines in the poor families, installation of tube wells for safe water supply,Implementing programs like house building etc.
