Joint check post by navy and police to maintain law and order situation in Amtali

To maintain the law and order situation in Amtali, Barguna, a joint initiative of Bangladesh Navy and Police has conducted a special check post operation.

On Thursday (December 4) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the operation was conducted on the south side of Amtali Churidaka Battala beach filling station on the Dhaka Amtali-Kuakata regional highway.

Bangladesh Navy Amtali Contingent Commander Lt. Shahria Safat (Education) BN, P No. 3995 led by 10 members of Navy and 4 members of Amtali Police Station and Traffic Police participated in the operation.

During the check post operation, documents of various vehicles, driving license, use of helmets, etc., are carefully checked for compliance with road laws. Suspects are also interrogated and searched.

A total of 189 motorcycles, 9 buses, 7 private cars, 5 trucks, 22 microbuses, 9 CNG and 19 Mahidra vehicles were searched during the operation and 12 cases were registered for violation of traffic laws. Cases were filed under the Road Act for not using valid documents, driving license and motorcycle helmet.

In addition to collecting a total fine of 32 thousand 500 rupees in the operation, 3 CNG, 2 motorcycles and 1 mini truck were seized and brought to Amtali police station due to lack of valid documents.

Locals said that if joint operations are conducted by setting up check posts regularly, the security and law and order situation in the area will be strengthened and the awareness of obeying the law will increase among the public.

At the end of the check post, Lieutenant Shahriar Safat said that the main objective of this joint initiative of the Navy and the police is to increase the awareness of drivers on the road.Ensuring public safety and strengthening crime prevention activities. We will continue such operations to protect law and order.
