Schoolgirl Samia rescued after 5 days of abduction in Madhavpur

Schoolgirl Samia Akhtar Tanu (15) was rescued after 5 days of abduction in Madhavpur, Habiganj. She is a ninth grade student of South Kashimnagar High School of Dharmaghar Union of Upazila and daughter of UP member Sohrab Uddin of Devpur village of Dharmaghar UP.

According to family sources, Raisul Islam Tutul of Nijnagar village of Dharmaghar and his associates abducted Samia in a planned manner on the way to school on the morning of December 1. After the abduction, he was allegedly kept in a dark room and tortured for several days.
The day after the incident, Samia’s father filed a missing diary at Madhavpur police station on December 2 (diary no: 80). Later, the family members rescued Samia from Sultan Mia’s house in Chengahati area of ​​Bulla, Vijaynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria at around 12 noon on Friday, December 5. He is currently with his family with emotional trauma.
Victim Samia said, “They kept me locked up in the dark. They tortured me. I searched for my parents again and again. I felt like I can’t live anymore.”
Samia’s father, UP member Sohrab Uddin said,
“I want exemplary justice for the way my school-going daughter was abducted and tortured.”
Local Youth Dal leader Aminur Rahman Amin complained and said, “There has been an increase in the cases of kidnapping and rape of women in the area. It is necessary to conduct an operation to stop these.”
Attempts were made to contact the accused Raisul Islam Tutul but he could not be found.
