National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam BNF scholarship check distribution held

Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University located in Trishal, Mymensingh held a check distribution ceremony for ‘Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam BNF Scholarship-2025’. Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 11 am in the conference room of the old administrative building of the university, this colorful event was completed. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam. He handed over the scholarship check to the scholarship recipients. The event was organized by Shashi Foundation (SF), with financial support provided by Bangladesh NGO Foundation (BNF).
Honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam said, “Giving scholarships to students is really a great initiative. The amount of money is not a big thing, but it is a matter of pride for the students who get the scholarship. Irrespective of their family financial status, this money will play an important role in the progress of studies. It will create a sense of responsibility among the students and in the future they will be motivated to stand by the underprivileged students of the society.”
He also said, “Many institutions in the country and abroad give scholarships to students. If you keep looking regularly, you can take more such opportunities.” He urged the Bangladesh NGO Foundation and Shashi Foundation to increase the amount and number of scholarships in future.
University Treasurer Professor Dr. spoke as a special guest in the event. Zainul Abedin Siddiqui, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration Professor Dr. Sakhawat Hossain Sarkar and Registrar (Acting) Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman. The event was presided over by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Md. Bakhtiyar Uddin.
In addition, the director of the student counseling and guidance office. Md. Ashraful Alam was present. Executive Director of Shashi Foundation gave a welcome speech. Sirajul Islam and the program was conducted by Trishal representative of daily Naya Digant. Mokhleshur Rahman Sabuj.
It should be noted that 6 out of a total of 52 talented and poor students of the university.This scholarship check of Rs.155 is paid.
