Haragach businessman died in hospital while incarcerated in jail 

 
A businessman named Jahangir Alam died while incarcerated in Rangpur Central Jail.

He died on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

The deceased Jahangir Alam is the son of late Menaz Uddin, a prominent industrialist of Haragach Municipal area of ​​Kaunia Upazila of Rangpur and former president of the managing committee of Haragach Islamia Government Primary School. Jahangir Alam was involved in various businesses including Menaz Bidi Factory and Menaz Filling Station.

Locals said that when they appeared in court last Wednesday in a family case, the judge denied bail and ordered them to be sent to jail.

Rangpur Central Jail Senior Jail Superintendent Mokammel Hossain said,After undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital, he was brought to jail on Saturday afternoon after the hospital authorities gave him permission. When he fell ill again on Sunday morning, he was immediately admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. He died there in the morning while undergoing treatment.
