Laying foundation of Sena Public School and College in Kalukhali Upazila of Rajbari

As an important step towards the development of education infrastructure in the country, the foundation stone laying ceremony of Sena Public School and College, Rajbari was held today, December 17, Wednesday, at 1100 hours in the daytime at Ratandia Union, adjacent to Kalukhali Railway Station.

Honorable GOC, 55 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Jessore Area, Major General JM Imdadul Islam, BSP, NDC, AFWC, PSC, MPhil were present as the chief guest on the occasion. Commander 55 Artillery Brigade, senior officials of Bangladesh Army, Deputy Commissioner, Rajbari, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operations), Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Kalukhali, journalists of local electronic and print media and other dignitaries of the area were also present on the occasion.

It is to be noted that during a maneuver exercise conducted by the Bangladesh Army last January, the Honorable Army Chief promised to improve the quality of education in the area and establish an educational institution in view of the needs of the local residents. In continuation of that, with the joint efforts of the honorable GOC and Area Commander, this project was taken up with the aim of establishing a quality school with the army’s own funding.

This educational institution built under the supervision of the army will play an important role in the overall development of the students besides imparting quality education to the local population. From next April, the education program will initially start from sixth to eighth standard and later it will be upgraded to secondary and higher secondary level.

Speaking on the occasion, Honorable GOC said,
“The importance of education in shaping the future of the nation is immense. The contribution of the Bangladesh Army will continue to improve the quality of education of the country and the nation by establishing educational institutions run by the army across the country.”
He also said that Sena Public School and College,He is hopeful that Rajbari will become a symbol of excellence in education and this educational institution will improve the quality of education in the area to a great extent.At the end of the speech, he called on all concerned to maintain overall cooperation and coordination in the implementation of this great initiative and motivated by patriotism to dedicate themselves to the welfare of the country and nation in the future.
