Illegal teak wood seized at Panchari in Khagrachari

Border Guard Bangladesh (3 BGB) has seized a huge quantity of illegally smuggled teak wood in Karallachari area of Panchari upazila of Khagrachari.

Naib Subedar of Panchari Battalion (3 BGB) on Saturday (December 20, 2025) afternoon. A total of 96.62 cubic feet of illegal teak wood was recovered during the special patrol operation led by Shahid Alam.

The salvaged wood was later handed over to the Panchari Forest Department. The matter has been confirmed by the Panchari Forest Division office.

According to BGB sources, ensuring security in border areas, preventing illegal smuggling,The operation of BGB will continue in the future against such illegal activities with the aim of maintaining law and order and conservation of natural and forest resources.
