
BGB seized Indian smuggled goods in Panchari.
Panchari Battalion (3 BGB) seized a large amount of Indian smuggled goods by carrying out a special patrol operation in the border area of Panchari Upazila of Khagrachari.
On Wednesday (December 25, 2025) noon, a special patrol team of Panchari Battalion conducted the operation based on secret intelligence information. JCO-Naib Subedar Band Md Tushar Hossain led the campaign. The operation was conducted in the Kanungo Para area, located north-west of the battalion headquarters.
During the patrol, various types of contraband including Indian comfort, ponds powder, various types of under garments and short gingham were recovered. The estimated market value of these seized goods is said to be around 42 thousand 700 taka.
According to BGB sources, the process of submitting the recovered smuggled goods to Sitakunda Customs Office in Chittagong is under process.Sources confirmed that Panchari Battalion (3 BGB) is conducting regular patrols and special operations to prevent smuggling and strengthen border security.
