BNP leaders and activists have started leaving Dhaka after the reception

BNP’s leaders and supporters have started leaving the capital Dhaka after the mass reception organized on the occasion of the homecoming of BNP acting chairman Tariq Rahman.

Earlier at 9:58 am, the plane carrying Tariq Rahman landed at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet. After about an hour of ground turnaround, the flight left for Dhaka at 11:10 PM.
After the immigration process, Tariq Rahman’s wife and daughter went to Gulshan’s residence. Later, leaving the airport’s VVIP lounge, Tariq Rahman took off his shoes and stepped onto the dew-soaked grass and ground. At this time he took a handful of soil. Tarek Rahman got off the bus around 4 pm and went on stage. As soon as he arrived, the entire reception hall erupted in slogans. After finishing his speech at around 4:30 pm, he got into the car and left for Evercare Hospital to visit his mother and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia who is under treatment.
BNP leaders and activists started leaving the reception venue immediately after Tariq Rahman’s speech. After the public reception, the crowd of people heading towards the destination can be seen on the various roads of the capital. The activists were seen returning to their respective destinations in groups in buses, microbuses, pickup vans and open trucks in Badda Link Road and Gulshan area.Although many were tired on the way back, the expression of satisfaction was evident on their faces. Meanwhile, members of law and order forces were seen performing their duties at important junctions to keep the traffic flowing normally.
