Neighbors complained to the police station about the torture and torture of a gang of drug addicts in Chatkhil

The family of Moniruzzaman Babul, a neighbor, was tortured by the head of a drug-addicted juvenile gang. And the victim filed a police complaint threatening to kill Babul.

On Tuesday morning, the officer-in-charge of Chatkhil police station confirmed the incident. He said that on December 25, he lodged a complaint with the Chatkhil police station seeking redressal of the torture of drug addicts.
The accused are drug addict gang Paran Hossain (22), Surma Akhtar (50), Mumtaz Begum (25), Naima Akhtar (18), Sarba village-Chayani Tobga, Chatkhil, Noakhali.
According to police complaint and victim sources, Paran Hossain has been consuming drugs near my house for a long time with unidentified youths. When I forbade him, Pran’s accomplices started abusing me and my family women in obscene language and together with Paran, Surma, Naeema Mumtaz attacked me with iron rod, chisel, chisel, stick, steel torch light to kill me. Neela Phula hit me on the head and neck with the torch light and caused bleeding injuries. On hearing our call, people from the neighborhood came and rescued me and admitted me to the Chatkhil Government Health Complex and treated me.
Moniruzzaman Babul also said that my minor girl was not safe due to the attack by the neighbor Paran Surmad. They seriously injured the little girl and pulled out her hair.
He said he beat my wife and daughter with a yellow-bladed stick with a brick and left them bleeding on different parts of the body and took away their earrings and gold chain from their necks. The market value of which is about 3 lakh 60 thousand taka.
Surma is a woman of bad character. After being fed up with her bad work in the area, in May 2022, the local MP HM Ibrahim, the local MP, forced them to leave the area and move to another place.Abusing them in vulgar language and using false obscenities in the name of my wife and daughters, spreading through various media including social media and threatening me with various forms of intimidation and death threats.
I seek the security of my family’s honor and property from the administration and law enforcement agencies.Officer-in-charge of Chatkhil police station Abdul Monnaf confirmed the truth of the incident. He also said that both parties have complained. Necessary action will be taken subject to investigation.
