The organizer of JSF-Bangladesh, Haji Anwar Hossain Liton, a follower of his ideals, has revealed a new aspect of Sirajul Alam Khan’s political thought, the only organizer of Bangladesh’s independence struggle and the student politics of the sixties and seventies. He said, Sirajul Alam Khan Dada Bhai sacrificed his life for the nation. He did not decide his destination by listening to the speeches of any political leader. He was an unconventional person. From where he saw Bangladesh, the perspective from which he used to analyze the future of the people was not compatible with the conventional political party leaders. In view of the fact that political leaders form parties and enjoy political benefits and power, none of these could touch Sirajul Alam Khan. Immediately after the birth of the state, we have seen the process of making the political party a personal tool of the party leader. This truth has been revealed by Sirajul Alam Khan. Grandfather of the Nation Sirajul Alam Khan Parishad celebrated the 85th birthday of Sirajul Alam Khan, the founder and organizer of Bangladesh’s freedom struggle in New York. Last Wednesday, January 7, 2026, on the occasion of the birthday of the leading student leader of the sixties and seventies, Grandfather of the Nation Sirajul Alam Khan Parishad presided over the ceremony held in Manhattan, New York. Convener and organizer of JSF-Bangladesh Haji Anwar Hossain Liton. The chief guest at the event was the president of the American American Press Club of Bangladesh Origin and Bapsnews editor senior journalist and lion Hakikul Islam Khokon. The special guests were the journalist Sahid Raju, the central vice president of JAGPA and the president of the United States branch AKM Rahmatullah Bhuiyan and social worker Hasan Pramukh. Khabar Ibn News.
Senior journalist Hakikul Islam Khokon, the chief guest, said that in the 1970s elections, Bengalis were accelerating the Shaytva movement by creating public opinion in favor of 6 points. Then the majority of the people of Pakistan came in favor of the verdict of the East Pakistanis. At that time there were very few people to nominate the East Pakistan Awami League. Muslim League had so much influence. At that time also these Chhatra League leaders created the awakening of victory in the elections. We have forgotten that youth. The best children of the nation are not being kept in political history. Not being kept in political parties. Not accepted. Democracy was the slogan before the country was born. We were in such a logical position for democracy, we the people who had never seen arms or military uniforms were the ones who fought and won against the Pakistani army.
He said, after the independence of the state, elders will lead. It is natural that leaders will lead. But in the 70s, the first government of independent Bangladesh was formed by the people we elected to lead Pakistan or go to parliament. Was it not Bangladesh or Pakistan?
Senior journalist Hakikul Islam Khokon said, we did not understand the state. I did not form the state before this. I was not in the administration of the state. After the independence of the country, the government was formed under the leadership of Bangabandhu.
President of the program, Haji Anwar Hossain Liton said, “The government of 72 should be the government of Bangladesh achieved in the liberation war. Instead of those who took part in the great liberation war, those who led as organizers, the people’s representatives elected to take responsibility in the Pakistani parliament were included in the independent Bangladesh government. In the nine months of the liberation war, the courage, patriotism, and spirit of every human being to resist the enemy, the unprecedented change in the experience so that the leadership of the independent country can be used to establish leadership. As part of that conspiracy, pro-Pakistan representatives were given responsibility.
And the dreams and spirit of the students and youths who have risked their lives to fight have been crushed with a slogan ‘Ek Neta Ek Desh, Bangabandhui Bangladesh’. He said, now I understand why we were defeated. Why we don’t have Bangladesh today.
He said, we have not learned how to run the state. The state I gave birth to will have only one leader,There will be no leader. No one will be admitted. No more leaders will be allowed to emerge. In addition, the police will be used against others. Guards will be raised against them. It became clear that this country is no longer ours when the activities of making the youths who fought for the motherland and killing the rest started with weapons in their hands. We are subjugated again. This trend came after the birth of the state. Late Sirajul at the beginning of the discussion meeting. Alam Khan Dadabhai, late all national leaders, from the great language movement to 6 points of 62, 64, 11 point education movement and independence movement, popular uprising of 69, Agartala conspiracy case, great liberation war of 71, brutal killings of 15th August, 21st August, 3rd November and anti-dictatorship, anti-separation and all democratic movements. Martyred freedom fighters and self-sacrificing heroes and honorable over 2 lakh mothers.A minute of silence was observed in respect to the sisters. At the end, everyone was treated to dinner.
