
Bhangura Land Office Naib Feroze accused of bribery of Tk 34,000
Allegations of irregularities and corruption have been made against Naib Feroz Ahmed of Union Land Office of Dilpasha in Bhangura Upazila of Pabna. Naib Feroz is collecting additional bribes beyond the government fixed fee. The Bangladesh government has set the land registration fee at 1 thousand 150 taka, but he has set the minimum at 6 thousand taka. And even though there are no errors in the documents of the uneducated person, he has alleged that he is extorting 34 thousand rupees from Subal of Dilpasar under false pretenses. Subal said he took 34 thousand taka and 5 kg ghee from me but did not work the money and did not return it. The victim Subal Ghos also said that Naib Feroz told him that 20000 Assistant Commissioner Bhoomi and 14000 of his he came to know that he did not give any money to the Bhoomik Officer but he himself embezzled the entire amount. After he joined Dilpasha’s land office, within 2 months, he had bribed about 3 lakh rupees in the name of the land alone. Now it has been alleged that the amount of his monthly bribe-trading money is about 2 to 3 lakh rupees. He doesn’t do any work unless someone pays him and keeps the papers under lock and key. He takes several times the amount of land development tax. After reaching the threshold of this land office, the land officer Feroze has to obey the law made by himself, the common people who come to take service. Naib Feroze said in this context, “He was bringing money to me, I took it and returned it.” Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Mizanur Rahman said legal action will be taken subject to investigation.
Bhangura Upazila District Officer (UNO) Tapas Pal said, if there is any such complaint against Naib Feroz,Then he will be brought under the law and punished.
