
Manjila Sultana Jhuma withdrew from NCP candidature
Manjila Sultana Jhuma, the nominated candidate of NCP for Khagrachari-298 seat of Jatiya Sangsad has announced to withdraw from the election.
In his Facebook post on Sunday night, he said that NCP initially nominated candidates in 125 constituencies of the country, as part of which he was nominated in Khagrachari-298 constituencies with the ‘Shapla Kali’ symbol. On December 24, the district convener of the party collected the nomination papers on his behalf.
Although Monday was the last day to submit nomination papers, he decided to withdraw from the election before that. In the Facebook post, he mentioned that he had already informed the party’s convener Nahid Islam about his decision.
In the post, he also wrote, “I am not participating in the elections. But I believe – the youth will go to Parliament, today or tomorrow.”
After his announcement Khagrachari-There has been discussion in the local political arena about the candidature of NCP in 298 seats.
