Rizwana Hasan said, after receiving the project sent by us, Chinese experts have scrutinized it. People have high expectations about this project. So the Chinese ambassador said that they are scrutinizing the project very well. As if they could complete the task without any mistakes. China wants to start work on the Teesta Master Plan as soon as possible.

The Water Resources Advisor said that the Teesta Master Plan is a relatively complex project as it includes flood control, river erosion prevention and irrigation projects. So various issues are being analyzed. China is friendly towards Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s foreign policy is based on friendship. Since China is a neighboring country, we have close relations with them. Bangladesh also has a river connection with China. Besides, China has come forward to make a big hospital. Thanks to them for that.

He further said that the future of Teesta Master Plan is very bright. Because this work was not left by the interim government. Political parties have also pledged to implement this project. So despair cannot be spread. It is very difficult to change the amount we pay after a survey and contract if we need more money later. So let’s go through such a process that it is tolerable for both countries and good for the people.

On the fair share of Teesta water, the advisor said,Achieving fair share of water is an ongoing process. It is also a big political issue. So we think the elected government will come and work to get the fair share of water. We have made preparations for Ganga and Teesta so that they do not have to wait for the elected government to come.
