On January 13, 2026, at 7:30 in the evening, a doa mahfil organized by Bandhumahal was held in memory of freedom fighter Moazzem Hossain Masud, who died recently in New York, at Navanna Part Hall in Bengali-dominated Jackson Heights, New York. A joint presentation was made by distinguished social worker and politician Kajal Mahmud and former general secretary of Bangladesh Society and politician and social worker Zainal Abedin. Before the doa mahfil organized by Bandhu Mahal, President of Bangladesh Society Ataur Rahman Salim, Senior Vice President Mohiuddin Dewan, Political and Senior Journalist Hakikul Islam Khokon, Journalist Helal Mahmud, President of Brahmanbaria Society USA Rana Mohammad Ayes, Political and Social Worker Solaiman Ali, Politician Jiban Safiq, Social Worker Mostafizur Rahman, Social Worker Mir Nizamul Haque, organizer HM Iqbal and others. Prominent social worker Lutfur Bahman Babu, general secretary of Bangladesh Society Mohammad Ali, brave freedom fighter Golam Quddus, Mohammad Ali Babu, boxer Salim, Aktar Hossain Kennedy, Noor Babul, Kochi and Panir among others were present in the event.
